Salem, MA-- Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, was honored as one of the top women-led businesses in Massachusetts, according to a list published in the Boston Globe Magazine on November 3, 2024. Salem Hospital joins multiple Mass General Brigham entities that are successfully helmed by female leaders.

Salem Hospital is led by president and chief operating officer Roxanne C. Ruppel, who has served in the top leadership role since 2023. The Top 100 Women-Led Businesses List was assembled by The Women's Edge, a non-profit organization that works to advance women in leadership positions. It was featured in the Boston Globe Magazine's annual "Women & Power" issue.

The Women's Edge ranks organizations by examining a number of variables including their revenue, diversity, operating budget, number of employees, and innovative projects.
