Application Process
Volunteers must submit an application to volunteer. The application below can be printed out, filled in and mailed to the address given. Before you submit your application, please read our volunteer requirements.
Summer Volunteer Program for high school students
June 23 through August 17, 2024
Applications MUST be submitted on-line by May 1, 2024. No exceptions, please.
Limited space available. NOTE: Applicants for the High School Volunteer program must be 15 years old at the time of application.
Acceptance into the volunteer program is contingent on satisfactory results of the interview along with other mandatory documentation as listed below (and need to be completed by June 1,2024):
- Occupational Health Requirements (childhood immunization records, if available or titers for MMR)
- Vaccinations for seasonal flu and Covid 19
- TB test (volunteer is responsible for obtaining within 90 day of their start date)
- CORI (criminal history check)
Students must commit to volunteering for 7 out of the 8 weeks. One week off is allowed during the program. We are unfortunately unable to accommodate any exceptions to this requirement. Total time requirement is 2 to 4 hours per week.

Requirements for volunteers
COVID-19 vaccine and our conditions of employment and volunteering
Mass General Brigham will require that all employees and volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 15, 2021.
- Potential candidates are required to fill out an application and interview with a member of the Volunteer staff.
- All volunteers must complete CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information).
- Occupational Health Requirements include documentation of childhood immunizations record (if available) or titers for MMR, Covid 19 vaccination card, seasonal flu vaccine documentation and a current TB test will be required before placement.
- Lab work referred by Occupational Health in order to meet the volunteer health requirements will be performed free of charge by the hospital.
