Hospital Medicine
Our Hospital Medicine Service is comprised of more than 30 board certified Internal Medicine physicians who specialize in providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients. Hospitalists focus their practice on a specific group of patients and have expertise in managing very ill patients in the hospital setting. They provide high quality, evidence-based and efficient patient and family centered care. A Hospitalist is always available to address urgent issues and share information with you.
Meet our physicians
As the physician in charge of your care during your hospital stay, your Hospitalist will direct your treatment and consult with specialists or other physicians as necessary.
He or she will communicate with you daily about your plan of care, while staying in close touch with your primary care physician as needed. When you are ready to be discharged, your Hospitalist will make sure your medications are correct, follow-up appointments are scheduled and that all services are in place for a safe transition home.
