The Heart Center performs angioplasty, a life-saving procedure that is the fastest method of opening blocked arteries in patients suffering from a heart attack. We consistently perform this life-saving procedure within 90 minutes or less of when a patient first enters our emergency department--well above the national average.
Types of angioplasty performed
- Primary angioplasty
- Coronary angiography
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (balloon angioplasty/stent)
- Right and left heart catheterization
- Intravascular Ultrasound
- Pericardiocentesis
