Same-day Surgery
In certain cases, such as some joint replacement surgeries, we can offer same-day surgery if it is the best treatment option for your condition. This means the surgery will be done in an outpatient setting, allowing you to go home the same day as your procedure. This approach minimizes your time in the hospital and supports a faster recovery, allowing you to return to your daily routine more quickly.
As a member of Mass General Brigham, we use the most advanced and innovative approaches to joint and spine care. These include robotic assisted surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

Robotic Assisted Surgery
Salem Hospital is proud to offer robotic assisted joint replacement surgery. This new technology enables your surgeon to place your joint implant with pinpoint accuracy, enhance recovery and minimize complications. Several of Salem Hospital's board-certified orthopedic surgeons are specially trained to offer this innovative technology as a surgical option to patients.
