Meet Our Doctors
Initial consultation
Patients will be evaluated by a member of our sports medicine team and receive a comprehensive exam which may include diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, MRI or CT. Following evaluation, our team will diagnose your condition and work with you to develop the optimal treatment plan.
Non-surgical Care
Many sports-related injuries can be successfully treated with non-surgical approaches that we will evaluate carefully. Our sports medicine experts may suggest physical therapy or medication to alleviate pain and restore function or additional therapies such as cortisone injections, dry needling (trigger point injections), platelet-rich plasma, viscosupplement injections, orthobiologics or needle tenotomy.
Sports Physical Therapy
We work closely with local physical therapists and our Mass General Brigham colleagues in the Spaulding Rehabilitation to help you build strength, improve balance and flexibility, and increase your endurance. Your rehabilitation team will evaluate your condition and recommend a treatment plan, whether that’s a simple change to your training and equipment or a more comprehensive therapy plan. Our rehab partners use the latest research and technology to help you get back your competitive edge.
Joint Preservation
The goal of joint preservation is to prevent injury, reduce inflammation and preserve cartilage. Our expert team offers a range of treatments, including:
Surgical Care
Patients with certain sports injuries, such as ACL tears, shoulder labral tears or meniscus injuries, may require surgery to make a full recovery.
