Merry Mixers Make Largest Gift Ever to Salem Hospital
This past fall, the Merry Mixers Organization presented a check for $90,000 to Salem Hospital, representing their largest gift ever to support pediatric care at the hospital.
“We can’t thank the Merry Mixers and their supporters enough for this incredibly generous gift,” says Brian Sanders, MD, Chair of Pediatrics at Salem Hospital. “We continue to be humbled by their steadfast support and thank each of them for caring for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.”
The Merry Mixers have been supporting Salem Hospital for 72 years and show no signs of slowing down. The cadre of dedicated volunteers hold a series of fundraising events throughout the year including an annual gala, a toy drive, social events and raffles that benefit local patients and families.
This year’s donation is earmarked for Salem’s Special Care Nursery, Pediatric Emergency Care, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry services and the Behavioral Health Family Resource Center. Specific projects that will be funded include workshops to support children and teens, renovations to the Special Care Nursery and the purchase of a special bassinet for fragile infants.
We are very grateful for their support. Learn more about the Merry Mixers
