Urology

Urology surgeons evaluate and treat a range of prostate and urologic disorders in adult patients. Our team is board certified and includes experts in minimally-invasive surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic, endoscopic, extracorporeal and percutaneous approaches.
We are the only hospital on the North Shore to offer robotic surgery as a surgical option for many urologic conditions.
Many of our urology surgeons also work side-by-side with Massachusetts General Hospital surgeons in a collaborative urology practice at the Mass General/ North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers.

About robotic urologic surgery
During robotic surgery, a trained surgeon operates robotic arms from a console that provides intricate 3D images of the surgical site. The robot is a remote extension of the surgeon’s own hands with its instrumentation that enables finer access, maneuverability and technical precision. Advantages of robotic surgery include smaller incisions, reduced pain and discomfort and a faster recovery. Learn more
