Salem Hospital no longer offers a comprehensive diabetes management program, but support is available for patients who are diagnosed with diabetes. Patients with diabetic foot wounds that are slow to heal may qualify for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy HBOT treatment at our Advanced Wound Center. Patients admitted to Salem hospital with an endocrine disorder are overseen by Lydie Pani, M.D. who fills a special role as an endocrine hospitalist. She manages patients while they are in the hospital, collaborating with their endocrinologist and primary care physician.
